The Sounds of Sagittarius Season

There are lots of famous Sagittarians—I mean, just look at the way Taylor Swift has captivated and dominated pop culture these last few weeks in a saga involving her ex and fellow Sag Jake Gyllenhaal. A hair flip and “I haven’t thought about their experience, to be honest?” Classic Sag!

However, when I think of a Sagittarius, my lil Bravo-loving brain goes right to Sonja Tremont Adams Morgan of The Real Housewives of New York City. Sonja is easily the best thing about that show, a consummate entertainer whose optimism and lust for life knows no bounds, whether she’s hosting a “caburlesque,” launching toaster ovens or holding a funeral at the Hudson River for her dearly departed dog Millou.

Sonja’s chips have certainly been down (her divorce, that townhouse), but that’s the thing about Sagittarius—through it all, they never seem to lose their optimism or idealism. Look at another incredibly famous Sagittarius, one Ms. Britney Jean Spears. The woman has been through hell on earth thanks to the media and her conservatorship, but now that she’s finally free, her joy is palpable. That’s Sagittarius energy, baby, and we could all use a little more of it, I think.
